PARC is for children with an acute medical issue that allows for paediatric specialist review within 48-96 hours of referral.
The clinic is only accessible to patients who have been referred by Cabrini Health Emergency Department or their General Practitioner.

What are the fees associated with a PARC review?
If your child has been referred to PARC after attending Cabrini ED, there will be no further out of pocket cost incurred for the review appointment for patients with Medicare. Out of pocket fees will apply for non-Medicare patients.
If your child has been referred by your general practitioner, there will be a out of pocket cost after the Medicare rebate.
Who do you see in PARC?
PARC is staffed by specialist paediatricians and paediatric doctors from Unyoked Health with expertise in child and adolescent medicine.
How will my child be followed up after their PARC appointment?
The clinic is designed as a once off review of acute medical conditions.
The aim is to provide tailored information, education and support for your child, with the goal to continuing management (if required) by your child’s GP and care team.
If your child requires ongoing paediatric care beyond this review, our team can arrange for a referral to see an Unyoked Health paediatrician in a regular paediatric clinic.
If during your child’s review, they require an inpatient medical admission, they may be admitted directly to the paediatric ward at Cabrini Health (pending private health fund checks and consent).
My child is already a patient of a paediatrician at Cabrini Health. Will I be able to be reviewed by them in the rapid review appointment?
The PARC clinic is designed for have urgent appointment availability for acute paediatric issues. Thus, you will not see your regular paediatrician for this appointment.
If you wish to see your usual general paediatrician, please contact their admin staff to see if this is possible.
My child has an appointment with PARC, but has become more unwell. Should I keep the appointment or go to hospital?
If your child has become more unwell, please present directly to your nearest emergency department or call an ambulance on 000.
My child has another ongoing medical issue - will this be able to be reviewed on the day?
If your child has another ongoing paediatric issue (eg. speech delay or developmental delay), this will not be able to be reviewed on the day of the PARC appointment.
Please have your GP refer to our Unyoked Health paediatric clinic for available appointments.
I have a PARC appointment but my child has got a lot better and I no longer will be attending. Do I need to let someone know?
If you are no longer able to attend, please inform our admin team via phone (9005 8508) or email (info@unyokedhealth.com) with the reason for non-attendance so that the appointment time can be used for someone else.
If appropriate notice or reasons are not provided, cancellation / non-attendance fees may apply.
